Samsung is all set to announce its latest flagship smartphones under the S20 series on February 11. And, as we inch closer to the launch, we now have fresh leaks suggesting all the specifications for the device in detail, leaving almost nothing out. This year, the company will announce three new smartphones, the S20 5G (regular), S20 Plus 5G, and the S20 Ultra 5G.
All three S20 models, the S20 5G, S20 Plus 5G, and the S20 Ultra 5G share a lot of similarities, such as the 120Hz refresh rate display, the 7nm chipset, and the Android 10 OS with Samsung’s OneUI 2.0 running on top. That said, let’s dive in and look at the specifications for each of these devices in detail.
Samsung Galaxy S20 5G
To start off, the Samsung S20 5G is the standard S20 variant, which features a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a WQHD+ resolution (3200 x 1440 pixels). The display offers a 20:9 aspect ratio with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 563ppi pixel density. At its core, the device is powered by a 7nm Exynos 990 processor, coupled with 128GB of onboard storage, which can be further expanded to 1TB with a microSD card. There is a 4000mAh battery to fuel up the device with up to 25W of fast charging support. Unlike the S20 5G, the Plus variant flaunts a slightly bigger 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a WQHD+ resolution (3200 x 1440 pixels). The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 525ppi pixel density. Under the hood, the device is powered by the same 7nm Exynos 990 processor, paired with 128GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1TB with a microSD card. It includes a bigger 45000mAh battery and runs on Android 10 with OneUI 2.0 on top. As for other hardware specifications, the device comes with IP68 water resistance and Dolby Atmos Stereo Speakers by AKG. For optics, the S20 Plus 5G features a quad camera setup, which includes a 12MP primary sensor, a 64MP telephoto sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and a ToF (time-of-flight) sensor. The rear camera offers up to 8K video shooting capabilities at 30fps. On the front, it has a 10MP selfie camera with the same 4K at 60fps video shooting capabilities as the standard S20 5G.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G
Coming to the top-of-the-line model of the S20 lineup, the S20 Ultra 5G features the biggest display of the lot, a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with WQHD+ resolution. The display offers a 20:9 aspect ratio with a 3200 x 1440 pixels screen resolution and a 511ppi of pixel density. Talking about internals, the device runs on the same 7nm Exynos 990 processor as the other two models, coupled with 128GB/512GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1TB with a microSD card. Among other things, the phone runs on Android 10 with OneUI 2.0 running on top, with a massive 5000mAh battery, IP68 water resistance, and Dolby Atmos Stereo Speakers by AKG. As for optics, the S20 Ultra 5G sports a quad-camera setup, which includes a 108MP primary sensor, a 48P telephoto sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and a ToF (time-of-flight) sensor. The rear camera on the S20 Ultra features the same video shooting capabilities as the other two models, with up to 8K shooting at 30fps. Towards the front, the phone has a 40MP front-facing camera, which offers up to 4K video recording at 60fps.
